Interim CIO
Experienced IT leadership to support your growth, your transformations and your periods of change (carve-out, carve-in, reorganisation).
A CIO leaving, a carve-out, a reorganisation: there are moments when the IT department must keep making decisions while the post is vacant. That is the role I take on.
What the assignment covers
I take operational responsibility for the IT department: budget trade-offs, management of internal teams and vendors, continuity of ongoing projects, relationship with the executive committee. The assignment begins with a short assessment, which serves as the basis for the decisions to be made.
Typical situations
A business separation that requires duplicating or splitting an information system within a tight deadline. An unplanned departure that leaves projects without a decision-maker. A reorganisation that shifts the balance of power between the business and IT. Growth that has outgrown the resources of the existing IT set-up.
How an engagement unfolds
I do not replace a team; I restore its ability to decide. The assignment ends when a successor is in place with a usable handover file: application map, contractual commitments, points of fragility, prioritised roadmap. This exit deliverable is part of the assignment, not an option.
Who it is for: mid-sized companies and large accounts, between 200 and 5,000 employees, with an established information system.
