Digital strategy
Define a technology roadmap aligned with your business objectives and constraints, with clear, measurable milestones.
A roadmap that lists technologies is not a strategy. A strategy says which company objectives are served, in what order, with what means, and what you choose not to do.
Start from the company's objectives, not from the catalogue
The starting point is the company's strategy and its constraints: growth, margins, regulatory obligations, investment capacity. Technology comes afterwards, as an answer — not the other way round.
Make the trade-offs explicit
Every serious roadmap contains a list of what will not be done this year. It is often the most useful part of the document, and the one most often missing.
Verifiable milestones
Each step comes with an observable criterion that makes it possible to say, at a given date, whether it has been reached. Without that, a three-year plan becomes a communication document.
Who it is for: Executive management preparing a multi-year plan or having to prioritise IT investments.
